Julie Cameron has 16 years of experience in the fashion, retail and mall industry. Her passion for Chicago’s vibrant, character-filled neighborhoods and shopping secrets had been limited to her friends and family, and she wanted to create a vehicle to share these incredible finds with Chicago visitors or groups of friends.

In the interest of supporting local businesses and the arts,
many of the boutiques visited on the tours are run by creative entrepreneurs and carry one-of-a-kind clothing and jewelry created by talented artists, students and designers. In 2006, Chicago’s Mayor Daley created the Fashion Advisory Council and appointed a Director of Fashion Arts and Events to support the city’s blossoming fashion community.  Urban Shop Guide hopes to further support this momentum

Urban Shop Guide is a member of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau. Urban Shop Guide will donate a percentage of its profits to the Chicago Coalition Against Rape.
